BOSTON — Boston EMS is mourning the loss of one of their own, according to a post on the agency’s social media page.
EMT Matthew Clancy, 34, died suddenly Thursday, Boston EMS Chief James Hooley wrote on Facebook.
Clancy “served our department and Boston for 5 years. He was member of recruit class 2017-1,” he wrote.

Clancy is survived by his mother, an aunt, two uncles, his brother and sister-in-law and many friends, according to his obituary.
He graduated from Bethany College with bachelor’s degree in psychology before training to be an EMT.
