Former Texas EMT challenges firing

SCHERTZ, Texas — Jay Lynch thought that leaving his job as a Dallas police department paramedic for a post as an emergency medical technician in Schertz would make life better for his family. But it soon turned into a nightmare.

Three months into his new job, Lynch injured his left leg after he slipped at work.

Doctors originally diagnosed the injury as a severe sprain. After a month of light duty, Lynch went to his personal doctor in Dallas for a shocking second opinion.
