This week’s Photo of the Week comes from Saint Francis EMS (Wilmington, Del.), showing the infectious disease transport (IDT) team taking part in a surprise drill with the Delaware Office of EMS, Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and Beebe Healthcare Center. The IDT team is the only team in Delaware equipped to transport patients with highly infectious diseases, according to Saint Francis Healthcare.
EMS providers wore level III protective suits during the exercise. Officials said the “no notice” drill came just in time, as international health organizations were investigating the emerging threat of novel coronavirus.
