ProMed Network Podcasters Create New Media Frenzy - A week ago, three member podcasts of the ProMed Network were asked to attend the EMS Expo in Atlanta by organizers and do what they do best, talk about all things EMS!
Chris Montera from the EMS Garage podcast, Greg Friese from the EMS Educast podcast, and Jamie Davis, the Podmedic and host of the MedicCast podcast for EMTs and paramedics showed why they are the top new media celebrities in emergency medical services. Through live streaming panel discussion, video product reviews, articles, Twitter updates, podcasts, blog posts and more, these EMS celebrities took the Expo by storm.
To make sure they had plenty of help to get the job done, Chris, Jamie, and Greg invited social media consultant and EMT Carissa O’Brien from Red Box Communications, and EMS micro blogger MsParamedic to help out with tweeting and on camera interviews. By the end of the conference Twitter contained hundreds of updates pertaining to their efforts and products we saw there.
The podcasters and new media mavens also brought in a camera crew from Setla Film Productions to help out with video product reviews. Paramedic filmmaker Ted Setla and Chris Eldridge provided professional skills that created extremely high quality videos.
The new media coverage quickly became the talk of the show and by the final day, vendors were lining up, asking for a turn in the new media spotlight. You can check out all of their excellent coverage including video interviews, product reviews, and articles at EMSExpo.net.
