SNOWBIRD — An 8-year-old boy was lucky two EMTs were vacationing at the same lodge Saturday night.
The EMTs just happened to be sitting in a hot tub adjacent to the pool where the boy nearly drowned Saturday night at Snowbird’s Cliff Lodge.
The boy was swimming with a friend when the friend noticed the boy was at the bottom of the pool not moving, said Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Lt. Chris Bertram.
The friend notified some adults nearby, and the boy was pulled from the pool. The two vacationing EMTs performed CPR on the boy and revived him, Bertram said.
He was transported by ambulance to Primary Children’s Medical Center.
