SPARTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person was killed and at least six people were injured after a highway collision between a Life EMS Ambulance and a Geo Tracker SUV.
Victims were pinned inside both vehicles. A person inside the Geo Tracker was killed, Mlive.com reports. An Aero Med helicopter responded to the scene.
Life EMS Ambulance President Mark Meijer released the following statement:
“The safety of our patients, staff and all those we serve in the community is our number-one priority. We are saddened to report that there has been a serious accident in northern Kent County late this morning which involved one of our ambulances transporting a patient. As we have few details, our primary focus involves our thoughts and prayers to everyone involved.”
