MILWAUKEE, Wis. — A Milwaukee Fire Department paramedic unit and a car collided at the intersection of N. 35th St. and W. Lisbon Ave. on Monday morning.
The car’s driver was taken to a hospital for unspecified injuries, while the two paramedics in the unit were taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to the fire department.
A bystander on the sidewalk was not hit by the vehicles but reported an injury from jumping out of the way, a fire official said.
The paramedics were traveling north on 35th St. about 9:30 a.m. and responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens activiated when the crash occurred.
The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating the crash.
