Ohio EMT charged with 2nd DWI back to work

He is still collecting a city paycheck and is on desk duty for the Dayton Fire Department and drives himself to work

DAYTON, Ohio — The Dayton Fire Department EMT charged with an OVI and Hit and Run is back on the road and still at work.

For two years Brandon Lee has sat behind the wheel of Dayton ambulances, responsible for saving lives as an EMT. In the early morning of August 28th, behind the wheel of his pick-up truck, the 23-year-old is accused of driving the wrong way on 35 East causing a three car crash. Police say his blood alcohol level was nearly two times the legal limit. “He could’ve killed somebody,” Rick McCoppin, whose van Lee struck that night, said shakily after the accidentally.

Lee is now facing a Hit Skip and his second OVI charge in eight months. According to police reports we dug up — Lee blew a .17 in Vandalia in January. He was then sentenced to diversion.
