WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Mayor Tom Leighton swore in veteran department member Michael Stadulis as Wilkes-Barre’s new chief paramedic on Thursday.

Stadulis will work directly under Wilkes-Barre Fire Chief Jay Delaney to provide management and oversight for the emergency medical services department while continuing to act as a shift paramedic. He replaces the recently retired Sean Chandler, who was a city paramedic since 1976 and served as chief paramedic starting in 2007.
