EMStock is only four weeks away. Everything is in order. EMStock is held in Ellis County (south of Dallas) between Ovilla and Midlothian. The event will be three days of education, entertainment and fellowship. EMStock offers top-notch CE (TDSHS- and CECBEMS-approved) from some of the nation’s top speakers (e.g., Ray Fowler, MD-UTSW, Keith Wesley, MD-MN State EMS Director, Jim Augustine, MD-Medical Director, Washington, DC Fire, and others). Friday night the local band “281 South” will perform (featuring a Mansfield FD paramedic). Saturday will gave the Texas Chili and Barbecue Cook-Off. Texas Poet Laureate Stephen Fromholz will be the guest judge and perform in the evening. After Stephen (and perhaps with him), the band “Scott Walker and the Edge of Texas” will perform (featuring ETMC-EMS paramedic Don Elbert on the keyboards).
RV and primitive camping available on the property (no utilities-first come first serve). Local hotels (Midlothian, Waxahachie, Lancaster, Cedar Hill,
Mansfield) are available. The award-winning Rahr Brewery from Fort Worth sponsors “281 South” and will be here giving away their wares.
Registrations are way up. We have a great assortment of sponsors. Please make plans to attend. Additional information available at http://www.emstock.com.
If you are planning to attend, please pre-register on the web site. A $20.00 admission covers all three days, the CE, and a free T-shirt. A food vendor will be on hand. Plenty of chili and barbecue should be available Saturday.
We are looking forward to an unforgettable weekend. Prior attendees have called EMStock the single best EMS event they have ever attended. Don’t miss it.
