A criminal conviction is grounds for revoking Suttle’s license to practice

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A paramedic still on the job in Rutherford County after being convicted of a violent assault.

47-year-old paramedic Crystal Suttle was convicted of felony assault to cause serious bodily injury on May 22. But Suttle was never suspended and is still working, treating patients since her release from jail on $5,000 bond in April.

Suttle is under investigation by the Department of Health and Human Services for violating rules concerning credentialed employees, that say a criminal conviction is grounds for revoking Suttle’s license to practice.
