A man is accused of attacking Cleveland EMS providers who were responding to an assault call late Thursday night.

CLEVELAND — A man was arrested Thursday night after allegedly attacking EMS providers and breaking a squad car window.

Police say the man, whose name was not reported, was intoxicated and attacked Cleveland EMS personnel who were responding to a call about an assault at a restaurant, according to WOIO.

Cleveland Police Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said the man also broke out the window of a squad car and was arrested for assault, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and vandalism.

Officials did not say whether the EMS providers were injured during the incident. Additional details about the initial assault call were not reported.
