New York — Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano will join members of the FDNY Emergency Medical Service and Van Wagner Chief Executive Officer Richard Schaps on Tuesday, May 11 at 11:15 a.m. outside of 800 Third Ave. (between 49th and 50th streets) in Manhattan to officially unveil this years new citywide posters celebrating EMS Week 2010, which begins across the country on Sunday, May 16.

The FDNY-developed posters feature a mosaic of approximately 500 photos of FDNY EMS members arranged in the shape of the Star of Life, the symbol of the Emergency Medical Service, and the slogan: 1.2 million calls, one mission.

The annual public service announcements — which are designed to raise awareness about the life-saving skills of FDNY EMS members — will be displayed in approximately 350 telephone kiosks donated by Van Wagner.
