MUSKEGON, Mich. — A Pro-Med ambulance made a special delivery to Mercy Health hospital Tuesday.
Instead of a patient, the ambulance was transporting a truckload of toys, 1,300 to be exact, FOX17 reported.
The toys, funded by community members thanks to a promotion at a local PetSmart, were distributed to children in the emergency department, pediatric care unit and on ambulances.
“These adorable cats and dogs will be gifted to our youngest patients to help ease fears and provide comfort while they’re in our Emergency Departments or Pediatric Unit,” a Mercy Health Facebook post said.
