KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Footage from the body cam of a Kissimmee police officer shows the moment when members of the department helped to save the life of a baby boy, reports WESH TV.

Amanda Zimmerman approached a patrol vehicle on Saturday and gave her 18-month-old baby to an officer.

The little boy was not breathing and unresponsive after choking on a goldfish cracker.

Zimmerman can be heard screaming in the background as an officer repeatedly pats the baby on its back to try and dislodge the cracker. Officers then laid the little boy on its back and administered CPR.

“I was just beside myself,” Zimmerman told WESH 2 News.

The Kissimmee Fire Department transported him to the hospital, where doctors said he was going to be just fine.

Zimmerman is grateful to the officers that helped save her son.

“God put ‘em where they needed to be,” she said.
