BOLTON, U.K. — Boys as young as six threatened to shoot paramedics treating a toddler suffering from severe burns, forcing them to call for police back-up before they could take her to hospital.
Vandals attacked a rapid response vehicle sent to give emergency aid to 23-month-old Leah Keane after she burnt her back on a radiator, letting down a tyre and spitting on the windows.
A second ambulance was called, but it also became stranded after the paramedics said a group of boys had threatened to shoot them with ball bearing guns, and police back-up was requested.
