WARRENTON, N.C. — Warren County EMS workers will soon be receiving thousands of dollars in back pay that began accumulating five years ago.
During a special meeting Monday night, the Warren County Board of Commissioners voted 4-0 (Commissioner Clint “T-Bone” Alston was absent due to illness) to authorize county attorney Michael Williams to settle a wages dispute involving EMS workers. The county will pay EMS workers a total of $165,347.32 in back overtime wages.
The vote came at the end of a meeting agenda item concerning “Emergency Medical Services, Department of Labor Findings” and there was no substantial discussion among the commissioners in open session before the vote was taken.
