A firefighter and paramedic killed in a weekend accident was remembered Monday by colleagues for his willingness to go above and beyond the call.
Jeffrey Herrick, 36, of Carpentersville, was a firefighter and paramedic in Bloomingdale for seven years and a paid-on-call firefighter and paramedic with the West Dundee Fire Department for 13 years.
