LINCOLN, Neb. — Investigators in Nebraska say a 10-year-old boy helped keep his father alive for more than a week after the man slipped at their Lincoln home.
Lincoln police spokeswoman Katie Flood said Monday that an investigator went to the home Friday after the boy’s principal called and said he hadn’t been in school for four days.
The boy told the investigator his father had fallen on a wet floor more than a week before, striking his head. The boy says he gave his father fluids and food.
The investigator says in a court affidavit that the father’s eyes were open but he couldn’t answer questions. He’s been taken to a Lincoln hospital, while his son is in state custody.
