TANEY COUNTY, Mo. — Police are searching for a man who reportedly broke into an ambulance and used the items inside to break into another vehicle.
Police spotted the suspect early Monday morning when there was a report of man trying to break into a company work truck. Officers followed the man when he fled but lost him, according to News-Leader.
The officers found tools that were possibly used by the suspect and discovered that they had come from an ambulance, including a paramedic’s bag, pneumatic tool and a Sawzall blade.
A nearby ambulance was found with all of its storage doors unlocked and its storage areas almost empty.
Investigators say the suspect likely gained entry to the ambulance and used those tools to break into a close-by truck, which was also found ransacked.
