FORT PIERCE, Fla. — Police arrested a woman for stealing an ambulance and crashing it into a police vehicle.
Paramedics were responding to a call in the area when Amber Lynn Sills, 29, took the emergency vehicle, WPTV reports. Police pursued the ambulance once they spotted it on the road and blocked her from escaping.
Sills rammed into a police SUV as an officer was stepping out of the vehicle. She was apprehended and charged with aggravated fleeing, eluding and grand theft.
The officer did not suffer any injuries in the incident.
