MEDINA, Ohio — An ambulance struck a sheriff’s deputy and pinned him to a wall while at the scene of a medical call, according to officials.
Associated Press reported that the Medina Sheriff’s Department deputy and the ambulance were responding to a call about a man with chest pains, according to Capt. Kenneth Baca.
Capt. Baca said the deputy was behind the ambulance when it struck him and pinned him to the wall, according to FOX8. It’s currently unclear whether the ambulance underwent a mechanical failure or if the driver backed into the deputy on accident.
The deputy was transported to the hospital with cuts and bruises, according to Capt. Baca.
