JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Jersey City could be split in half and serviced by two ambulance providers under a request for proposals issued last week.
The RFP, which was issued Friday and seeks proposals by July 30, includes two possible scenarios. Under the first, one provider would respond to calls throughout the city. Under the second, one provider would respond to calls north of Montgomery Street and another south of it.
“It is within the sole discretion of the city to award based on option A or option B, and whether to award to a single or to multiple respondents,” the 55-page RFP reads.
