SEDALIA, Mo. — A driver in a pickup fled from a state trooper who tried to pull him over, ran through a stop sign and into the path of an Adair County ambulance on Highway 65, causing a crash that flipped the ambulance onto its side, KHQA reported.

Three people were injured, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The driver of the pickup, Logan Parker, who was avoiding being cited for a traffic violation, had serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.

One of the EMS providers, Seth Dimmitt, was injured, as was his patient, a 12-year-old boy, but their injuries were minor.

The EMS provider who was driving the ambulance, Robert Brock, was not hurt.
