CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A woman and two children were injured when a car crashed into an ambulance carrying a patient on Monday night.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the car occupied by a 20-year-old driver and two child passengers collided with the ambulance while trying to cross the highway, according to News Channel 9.
The ambulance had its lights and sirens activated at the time of the crash and had a patient in the back. Officials did not say how many EMS providers were in the rig and if the providers or patient sustained any injuries.
The woman and two children were transported to the hospital with injuries. Information about their condition was not available Tuesday afternoon.
