SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — A 59-year-old man misused the 911 system to get free food from the Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Terrence J. Wilcox called 911 complaining of “chest pains” three times before being caught, WHBL reported.

Once at the hospital after an ambulance ride, he would eat the meals, flirt with the nurses and swear at other staff before going back home to repeat the routine.

Wilcox was charged with disorderly conduct after firefighters called police to file a complaint for misuse of the 911 service. Emergency responders had been called twice from the same residence the day before for “chest pains”.

The hospital staff found out about his deeds because Wilcox boasted to nurses that he did not have pain.

A hospital staffer said that tending to Wilcox for nonmedical reasons took time away from a newborn baby with respiratory issues.
