HAMBLEN COUNTY, Tenn. — Morristown Rescue and a number of other agencies rescued a patient and EMS personnel after a vehicle fire ignited at the site of a multi-vehicle crash Friday evening.

EMS providers responded to the crash where a patient was trapped in their burning vehicle, WBIR reported. A bystander had pulled the patient from the vehicle before crews arrived on scene.

Providers were treating the patient down a hillside when the vehicle’s fuel tank ruptured, sparking flames in the wooded area. They used fire extinguishers to keep the flames at a distance until firefighters arrived.
