FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Three workers were hospitalized Thursday morning after they fell 15 feet from a scaffold at a construction site in Fort Lauderdale, authorities said.

Around 8:30 a.m., the workers fell from a scaffold at 475 SW 27th Ave., Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Garrett Pingol told the Miami Herald in an email.

Of the three people injured, two had traumatic injuries and were taken to Broward Health Medical Center, 1600 S Andrews Ave., in serious condition, Pingol said. The third worker was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.

According to Pingol, OSHA has been notified.

“It is unknown at this time how the workers fell and if there was a scaffolding failure,” Pingol said.
