SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. — South Orange Rescue Squad crews treated a dog at the scene of a structure fire after no human injuries were reported.
The squad said its supervisor, special operations unit and ambulance responded to the fire and set up rehab and treatment areas for possible injuries or illnesses.
Ambulance 3-4 personnel ventilated and suctioned the dog and gave it oxygen using pet first aid equipment donated by Invisible Fence Brand. A neighbor later took the dog to an emergency veterinarian.
