PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh EMS recently completed regular systemwide training for all paramedics, advanced EMTs and EMTs.

The training focused on updated multi-patient triage strategies and evidence-based trauma care, including blood administration and antibiotics for open fractures.

The curriculum concluded with hands-on stations covering trauma airways, the bureau’s new IV pumps, and practical exercises for multi-casualty active-threat incidents.
