SANFORD, Fla. — The Seminole County Fire Department recently welcomed two emergency communications dispatchers to its Stork Club.
On two different days in June, Dispatchers Brittni Schmeiser and Samantha Allen assisted in the deliveries of baby boys before firefighter-paramedics arrived on the scene.
A dispatcher can work their entire career without experiencing this type of 911 call, but these two have been on the job less than six months.
