MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Marion County Fire Rescue paramedic Clifton “Cliff” Murphy died after suffering cardiac arrest at his home, according to a department Facebook post.
Murphy was hospitalized following the cardiac arrest on Aug. 27 and received extensive treatment, but his condition did not improve.
His family decided to end life-support measures on Sept. 1 and chose to donate his organs, allowing Murphy to help others after his death.
An Honor Walk was held at AdventHealth Ocala as family members, friends, colleagues and fellow first responders honored Murphy and his service.
