N.Y. EMT arrested after tasing coworker at station

Former Empress EMS EMT Emmanuel Vasquez was immediately terminated and later arrested

NEWBURGH, N.Y. — An Empress EMS EMT was fired and arrested after allegedly tasing a fellow EMT while at work, Mid Hudson News reported.

Emmanuel Vasquez was immediately released from duty by Empress EMS after he reportedly used a taser on EMT Brett Slingerland inside the station.

Slingerland was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Vasquez was terminated immediately and later arrested by Newburgh police.
