PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — An emergency medical technician and volunteer firefighter pleaded guilty to three counts of child pornography promotion and distribution on Nov. 8, Southern Maryland News reported.

Nathan S. Lindgren, 26, was served a 20-count indictment in May after being arrested in April, according to court documents. He was identified in the court papers as an EMT for Calvert County. Lindgren also has served as a volunteer firefighter in Calvert and St. Mary’s counties.

Calvert officials declined to comment on Lindgren’s job status.

The Bay District Volunteer Fire Department’s chief told the news organization in April that Lindgren had been suspended and stripped of his officer status. The chief also said that if Lindgren was found guilty, he would be prevented from rejoining the department.
