KIROV, Russia — Paramedic, Tatiana Kulikova, posted selfie images with the patients she was supposed to be caring for with captions like ‘another moron’ and ‘how I hate my job.’
Emergency services officials in Russia fired Kulikova after she admitted taking the images, reported the Mirror.
Family members and local health campaigners are outraged over Kulikova’s shocking selfies.
“It is clear that while she was taking these photographs she was not looking after her patients,” said health campaigner Artem Golubev. “She shows a callous disregard for the welfare of her patients, some of whom died after those pictures were taken.”
Kirov emergency services officials suspended Kulikova and investigated the images as soon as they were alerted. “After an investigation was carried out, the employee was fired,” said a spokesman for the city’s emergency services.
Kulikova has made no comment.
