NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. — Authorities say a 64-year-old upstate New York man has been killed in a two-vehicle crash just four days after his son died in a house fire.
Police in suburban North Greenbush tell the Times Union of Albany that John Hover died at a hospital after his pickup truck veered into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle Thursday afternoon.
The other driver is in serious condition.
The crash happened four days after a fire at the Hover family home in Poestenkill killed 29-year-old Devin Hover and injured his parents. Officials say Sunday night’s blaze gutted the wood-framed house in the rural town 10 miles east of Albany.
