Southeastern Emergency Equipment to Offer Paramedic Refresher Course

Wake Forest, NC – The Emergency Medicine Training and Education Center at Southeastern Emergency Equipment (SEE), an international distributor of emergency medical equipment and supplies, has announced it will offer a paramedic refresher course in February, 2010. The course will meet the requirements of the National Registry for EMT-Paramedic (NREMT-P) recertification. The curriculum guidelines will be the objectives of the 2001 US DOT EMT-Paramedic Refresher Course. The program will consist of a Monday-Thursday lecture-style component, followed by three OPTIONAL days where participants may take ACLS, PALS, and ITLS refresher courses.

“This course will enable paramedics to meet all NREMT-P core content requirements in one week,” said Carla Baker, President of Southeastern Emergency Equipment. “We are offering this course so that those paramedics needing a refresher course can complete it on a limited schedule.”

Classes will be held February 22-28, 2010 at the SEE Emergency Medicine Training and Education Center located at 5762 Highway 96 West in Youngsville, NC. This continuing education activity is approved by Southeastern Emergency Equipment, an organization accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS).

This course is intended for NREMT-Paramedic certified providers who are preparing for NREMT-P recertification and need CE topics/hours to meet refresher requirements. It is also appropriate for individuals who simply need EMT-P level CE for any reason. All participants should ensure that their EMS System will accept CE from an outside entity.
