MADISON, Wis. — The first community paramedic clinic is now taking patients in Madison. Back in April, 27 News introduced the community paramedic idea to southern Wisconsin when Ryan Brothers Ambulance Service decided to build a program in Wisconsin.
Now, five months later, the idea has led to the first ever clinic featuring emergency paramedics who are trained to work with patients.
“This clinic started in June and we’re hopefully going to start another shortly,"Ryan Brothers Community Paramedic Steve Zank says.
