PUTNAM, Conn. — With their new checkerboard design in neon yellow and blue, the American Ambulance Service vehicles will be hard to miss.
The company unveiled the first emergency vehicle with its brand new, European-style design Wednesday at Day Kimball Hospital.
“It’s much different than anything we’ve ever seen up here,” said John DonFrancisco, manager of the Quinebaug Valley Dispatch Center. “It will take some getting used to, but it’s certainly very recognizable.”
