Photo of the Week: Mayo Clinic ambulance focuses on safety
The new ambulance includes a redesigned patient care area layout, injury-reduction features and climate control systems
Calling all EMS photographers! EMS1 wants to see pictures of you in action or training. Submit a photo — it could be selected as our Photo of the Week! Be sure to include your name, department information and some background on the photo.
This week's Photo of the Week comes from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, which recently unveiled its new ambulance designed to improve safety and comfort for patients and providers. The new layout puts most equipment and supplies in arm's reach to minimize times crewmembers aren't restrained with a seat belt. The rig also includes driver monitoring systems, an improved climate control system, a lift for large oxygen tanks and anti-theft technology.
