PLATTE CITY, Mo. — The application process for the Fitch EMS Foundation's first scholarships is open now through June 15.
Seven scholarships are available for leadership mentoring, industry-specific leadership education, and grants to assist EMS leaders in completing post-secondary education.
Plus, the foundation will award membership fee waivers for several national associations, such as the as National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and the National EMS Management Association.
Recipients will be selected by the scholarship committee. Winners will be announced at the Pinnacle EMS Leadership Forum, which will be held July 25-29, in Marco Island, Fla.
The foundation’s creation was announced last year at the 15th annual Pinnacle Leadership Forum. The foundation honors the 50+ years of leadership development commitment of EMS pioneer Jay Fitch, PhD, and the ongoing commitment of the firm to EMS professional development.
“I am thrilled that the Foundation is off and running with these amazing opportunities for our industry leaders and I can’t wait to see the program continue to grow,” said Dr. Fitch said in a news release.
