Firefighter responds to scene of teen son's drowning
He had no idea his son was in danger; the 15-year-old junior firefighter's heart was donated
GALLITZIN, Pa. — A teenage boy died in central Pennsylvania after being submerged underwater for 45 minutes.
Police said Justin Lee, 15, was swimming with four other teens at the isolated Gallitzin Township reservoir near Altoona on Monday when he disappeared underwater.
Water rescue and volunteer fire companies were brought to the pond and pulled the teen from the water. He died at an Altoona hospital around 10 p.m.
