WORCESTER, Mass. — An arrest warrant has been issued for a former paramedic of a private ambulance company in the city who twice this week failed to show up for arraignment in federal court on allegations that she tampered with vials of the highly potent opioid fentanyl.
Federal Magistrate Judge David H. Hennessy issued a warrant for Teresa M. Torres’ arrest. She is facing a charge of tampering with a consumer product.
Ms. Torres was originally scheduled to be arraigned Monday after she was arrested in Florida a few weeks ago on a federal indictment and told to arrive in U.S. District Court this week.
