SEATTLE — Responders are mourning the death of a firefighter-paramedic who died from kidney cancer Tuesday.
Seattle Fire Capt. Craig Aman served the department since 1990 and became a paramedic in 1994.
Capt. Aman’s death is considered a line of duty death since kidney cancer is recognized as a “presumption of occupational disease for firefighters,” Lt. Harold Webb told KOMO.
He died at his home surrounded by his wife, daughters and son.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
