SACRAMENTO, Calif. — American Medical Response deployed disaster teams from across the United States to help with the wildfires plaguing Northern California.
AMR has activated 36 ambulances and 72 crews to the Sonoma area and 12 ambulances and 24 crews to the Napa region through its agreement with FEMA.
FEMA resources are ensuring AMR’s California 911 systems will not be impacted by bringing personnel in from out of state.
The crews, which are on a seven to 14-day activation, will remain in the area for as long as necessary. They are working with national, state and local agencies to help with patient transportation and provide fire agencies with ambulances.
