SPOKANE, Wash. — A driver struck a woman and her two children with his car in downtown Spokane Thursday evening.

Paramedics transported the woman to Deaconess Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of a leg injury. The two children, whose ages are unknown, did not report any injuries and were checked out at the scene by paramedics. However, they will be re-evaluated at Deaconess.

Police say the driver, an 82-year-old man, was northbound on Lincoln Street and was turning left onto Second Avenue on a green light when he hit the pedestrians. The pedestrians were southbound on Lincoln and crossing Second Avenue in the crosswalk, with a walk light.

Spokane police are investigating and did not know Thursday night whether the driver would be cited.
