Police: Medic robbed homes he responded to on 911 calls

“He’s a predator preying on the health of victims he’s supposed to be taking care of”

ELLENVILLE, N.Y. — A paramedic who has worked for ambulance squads across the Hudson Valley has been accused of burglarizing the homes of some of those whom he was sent to help.

German A. Lobation, 48, who recently moved to Spring Glen from Dutchess County, was arrested by state police late Tuesday and charged with one felony count of burglary,four felony counts of possession of stolen property and four misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a weapon for the burglary of an Ellenville home, police said.

State police Senior Investigator Stanley O’Dell said Lobation has been linked to two additional burglaries in the area and authorities believe he may be responsible for many more in the Hudson Valley region.
