ROCHESTER, Minn. — Two veteran Gold Cross ambulance employees claim their manager has retaliated against them for providing sworn testimony in support of a former co-worker after he filed a lawsuit in federal court.

The latest lawsuits were filed in U.S. District Court by Mike Amendola, a 14-year employee with Gold Cross, and by Roger Swor, who is a paramedic shift captain. Both work in Duluth. Swor has worked for Gold Cross for 31 years.

They allege that Gold Cross and the company’s regional manager in Duluth, David B. Johnson, took retaliatory actions against them soon after a former colleague, paramedic Chad LeRoy Lisdahl of Superior, filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Labor.
