SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A team of industry experts and local officials this week will begin assessing bids that four companies have submitted to provide ambulance service for Sioux Falls.
It’s the first time in recent memory that Sioux Falls has asked for competitive bids for ambulance services. Rural Metro has held the contract to provide the service since 1996, and the contract has been renewed over the years.
The current one expires in May.
