Fla. woman calls 911 to talk about Trump, arrested

Over the course of an hour, the woman called 911 nine times.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A West Palm Beach woman was arrested Wednesday after calling the 911 emergency system nine times to talk about President-elect Donald Trump, according to an arrest report.

Lena Potts, 68, is facing a charge of misusing 911 and was released from the Palm Beach County Jail on her own recognizance.

West Palm Beach police responded to Potts home Wednesday afternoon after she called the city’s Fire Rescue department, then said she had no emergency and did not need assistance when they arrived.

Potts complained to an officer about her living conditions and was informed she needed to call code-enforcement officials, the report said.

Over the course of an hour, Potts called 911 nine times. The dispatcher told police Potts yelled “ramble” on the phone then talked about Trump.

After an officer warned Potts and left her residence, she called 911 again, the report said
